Cpl Nick G. Wisconsin enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 3 October 1942. He received his training at Fort Riley, Kansas and Camp Polk, Louisiana. He was sent overseas in August 1944 and arrived in France a month later.He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy, Belgium.
His sister Helen served as a nurse with the rank of a lieutenant in an army hospital in New Caledonia.
