2nd Lt Richard T. Lentz attended college for one year before he joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in La Fayette, Indiana on 10 December 1942.Crew members of other planes in the group saw this airplane peel to the right just after the bomb run. #2 engine was on fire and #3 and #4 engines were smoking badly.
