1st Lt Thomas J. Kennedy Jr. attended high school for 4 years and was a smith before he joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in Boston, Massachusetts on 10 July 1942.
The airplane was shot down by enemy aircraft.
2nd Lt John L. Sullivan:
"I went down to the nose of the ship. Thomas Kennedy was lying dead on the floor."
