Pfc Joseph J. Jambrosek attended Lane High School and was employed by the George Kenison Trucking Co. when he enlisted on 27 March 1944.

On 14 April 1945, the Division Chaplain wrote a letter to his father in which he explained what happened to his son.

As a member of a bazooka team on a combat patrol, he toop up a position in a house just across the Rhine River. Enemy artillery destroyed the house.
