Pfc James R. Alameda attended high school for four years and was a hotel clerk before he joined the National Guard in Santa Rosa, California on 3 March 1941.
He was killed by small arms fire in his stomach.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
