S/Sgt Henry Kubinski attended Pershing High School and was employed at Packard Motor.He enlisted in January 1943 and earned his gunner wings at Harlingen Field in Texas. He was sent overseas in December 1943.
S/Sgt Kubinski bailed out near Ommen, the Netherlands and was found at 17:00 hours in the river "Regge" near the railway bridge Ommen - Zwolle.
He was initially buried on 23 February 1944 at the Ommen general cemetery. He was the only one who had bailed out, and the remaining crew made it back to England.
