T/5 Edward C. Sapp enlisted at Camp Blanding, Florida on 17 December 1942.He was a motor vehicle repairman before he enlisted.
On 17 December 1944, 19 unarmed members of the 612th Tank Destroyer of B and Rcn Company were massacred in Honsfeld by SS Troops under the command of Obersturmbannführer Joachim Peiper.
