Pfc James J. Mc Ginity enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 9 October 1941.On 17 December 1944, together with the medics T/4 Michael Kardos and Pvt Robert Farley, he was taken prisoner by the medical detachment of Kampfgruppe Peiper of the 1st SS Panzerdivision Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler at Honsfeld. They were never seen again. Only the body of Michael Kardos was found. He is buried at the American Military Cemetery of Luxembourg.
