More information

Pvt Homer Reedy enlisted on 9 October 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

On 7 February 1945, the bodies of 19 American soldiers were found in a mass grave in Honsfeld. There is proof that a number of them were executed by members of Kampfgruppe Peiper of the 1st SS Panzerdivision Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler. Whether Homer Reedy was killed during the battle of Honsfeld or was executed, this can not be said with certainty.

His brother Charles also served in Europe and was reported wounded in action on 30 July 1944.
