S/Sgt Johnny L. Snow was first married to Esther Colvin in 1938 and divorced her. He remarried with Imogene Rider and after divorcing her, he remarried with his first wife in 1942.Both his twin brother and his son died in infancy.
He enlisted in Sam Houston, Texas on 20 February 1942.
When the 2nd Battalion arrived at Bergstein after a long foot march from Schmidt, S/Sgt Snow was killed when an artillery shell landed alongside the marching men.
