Pvt Charles Snider enlisted on 20 January 1944 at Camp Forrest, Tennessee.He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 21 September 1944 and was seriously wounded in action on 26 November 1944.

His brother David is buried at the American Military Cemetery and Memorial of Henri-Chapelle, Belgium.
