T/5 Anthony Muscente enlisted in Jamaica, New York on 29 April 1941. He was sent overseas on 21 October 1943 and arrived at Liverpool, England on 2 November 1943..

A stock of bangalores and dynamite was stored in a house and prepared for use. In the afternoon of 22 January the stock explodes, destroying the house completely, wounding several men and killing Cpl Frank A. Bergonzi, Cpl John J. Cuneo, T/5 John G. Pinto, T/5 Antonio Muscente, Pfc Frank M. Reese and Pfc Rosario J. Maniscalco. All these men are buried at Margraten.
