Sgt Paul D. Compton enlisted in San Francisco California on 11 January 1943.He graduated from Watsonville High School in 1933 and was employed by the Granite Construction Company before his enlistment. He received training at Camp Bowie, Texas and Camp Claiborne, Louisiana. Sgt Compton was sent to England in April 1944 and fought in France and Germany.
