Sgt Howard H. Rogers enlisted into the Regular Army in Richmond, Virginia on 8 October 1940. He was a chauffeur before he joined the army.

Three days after his death, Sgt Rogers was buried in Margraten in Plot S, Row 7, Grave 157.
