Pvt Donald E. Cochrun attended Plattsburg High School and was employed at the Air Service Command at Patterson Field.He enlisted at Fort Thomas, Newport, Kentucky on 6 March 1944 and was sent overseas in August 1944.
Pvt Cochrun was taken prisoner on 20 December 1944 and was held in Stalag III-A.
Pvt Cochrun was ill from undernourishment and succumbed shortly after he was liberated by Allied soldiers.
