One other member of the company, Pvt Morris, was killed instantly and Sgt Amos E. Overholt died of his wounds on 8 October in a hospital in England. He is buried at the American Military Cemetery of Cambridge. Seven men were wounded. A plaque on the wall of the house remembers this event.
