Pvt Victor J. Deluca was employed by the Ford Automobile Company. He enlisted at Fort Custer, Michigan on 24 March 1942.

He was sent overseas in June 1944 and was transferred from the 19th Replacement Depot to the Service Company of the 506th PIR on 17 June 1944. He joined I Company on 26 July 1944.

The day after he died, DeLuca’s body was wrapped in a parachute and buried in a temporary grave at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Son, The Netherlands.

His mother Mary received a notification of his death in early October. She elected to leave Victor's body in The Netherlands, where he could rest with his fellow paratroopers.

On 13 December 1948 Pvt Deluca was given his final resting place.
