Pvt Chris D. Christensen enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 28 February 1944. He was a foreman with the Gray Manufacturing Company in Hartford, Connecticut before he enlisted. He was married and was the father of a baby daughter. He was fond of golf, hunting and trapping. He was an expert baseball player and was active in small baseball groups.He joined his unit in Bockange, France on 27 January 1945.
Pvt Christensen was killed by artillery fire on the first day in action.
