T/5 James P. Bull was a mechanic before he enlisted at Fort Jay, New York. He was a mechanic before he enlisted.According to a newspaper article of the The La Crosse Tribune of 17 June 1945, a bomb struck a building in which 18 men of the battalion were in. Eight men were killed and three were wounded.
