More information

William Bush was employed at the International Mack Motor Company.

Statement from Capt Francis P. Mcintire, who flew in the same mission: “Lt Bush was flying as Red No. 3 on an armed reconnaissance mission in the Trier area on 25 December. We spotted a large M/T convoy in the middle of the town of Prüm and Lt Bush and I went down to strafe it. There was intense 20 mm flak in the area. When I pulled off the target, I looked around for Lt Bush but could not find him. I went back to Prüm and saw his ship burning on top of the hill just south of town. I believe that it was impossible for Lt Bush to have gotten out of the crash.”
