Robert Fordyce He graduated from North East High School and attendedPenn. State for six months.He enlisted in July 1943 and received his basic training at Camp Roberts, California. He was a student in the Army Specialized Training Program at Puget Sound Tacoma College, Washington and from there he was sent to Camp Cooke. California.
On New Year's Eve, 31 December 1944, as he was in his foxhole, with Frank Hartzell on the slope facing the village of Chenogne. He was hit by a German shell and died instantly.
