Pvt Ervin C. Snyder graduated from Dodge City High School in 1943. He worked with his father on the family farm.

He enlisted on 21 March 1944 at Fort Levenworth, Kansas.

He was fatally wounded during a patrol of the Elsenborn Ridge.

Pvt Snyder is remembered at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City, Ford County, Kansas.
