Sgt Thaddeus L. Tanski enlisted in Buffalo, New York on 24 October 1942.

He was a replacement who joined his unit in Krefeld, Germany. He was killed while riding on a tank.

His brother, Pvt William Tanski, is buried at the American Military Cemetery and Memorial of Luxembourg.
