The airplane collided with airplane 43-37933 in mid-air, which knocked off the rudder and damaged the top turret. It peeled off to the right and headed northwest.Five crew members survived and were taken prisoner. Four were killed. They were initially buried in a common grave at the the cemetery of Nahrendorf on 15 January 1945.
