Gene W. Haulotte Graduated from West High School in 1931 and attended Saint Norbert College. After moving to Los Angeles, he graduated from the University of Southern California in June 1938. After graduation he was employed as a social worker.He was married to Elizabeth Glenn on 1 October 1942.
He joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in Los Angeles, California on 1 October 1942.
Although he entered the service in California, at the request of his mother, Wisconsin is engraved on this headstone.
The airplane collided with airplane 43-37933 in mid-air, which knocked off the rudder and damaged the top turret. It peeled off to the right and headed northwest.
Five crew members survived and were taken prisoner. Four were killed. They were initially buried in a common grave at the the cemetery of Nahrendorf on 15 January 1945.
