2Lt Edwin L. Blanche was married to Alece Catherine Poirier on 3 December 1931 in Durant, Bryan County, Oklahoma.He enlisted at Randolph Field, Texas on 31 May 1942
Crewmembers were pilot 2nd Lt Edwin L. Blanche and co-pilot F/O LeRoy Brobst.
Passengers Pfc Neal G. Mohawk, Pfc Roscoe Schafer, Pfc Conner Price and Pfc William W. Schultz, all of the 681st F.A. Regt., 17th A/B.
They departed from Brettigny, France. The glider was released over the LZ at 1130 hours and was last seen as it entered the smoke which covered the Landingzone. Pfc Conner Price, 37611645, was the only surviving member of this unit in the glider referred to. He was evacuated to Hospital unknown on the 24th of March.
