Following statement made by 2nd Lt Harold R. Holley, O-692404.Lt. Holley, Navigator on A/C 956, who was one of the 6 picked up by Air/Sea Rescue states the above is an accurate story of what happened. He states that eight of the ten men opened their chutes immediately upon jumping ane he and Lt Joseph G. Thomas, O-803308, the pilot, made a delayed jump. Four of the eight were picked up. Lt. Holley states further that he was picked up about an hour after hitting the water and that several boats stayed in the vicinity until approximately the following morning but were unble to locate the other four men.
