Pvt Louis Di Giralamo enlisted in San Antonio, Texas on 2 April 1942.On the left flank of 505, the 3rd Battalion moved out toward its initial objective, the hamlet of Fosse. I Company was assigned to capture Fosse with supporting fire from H Company on the right, G Company moved behind them in reserve. As I Company made its way through the deep snow to the initial point, almost immediately men were hit. During this action, Pvt Di Giralamo was killed instantly.
