Sgt Robert L. Perrin Jr. graduated from Peabody High School in 1943. He was employed at The Family Theater.He enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 8 January 1944. He was sent overseas on 1 October 1944.
The aircraft crashed after a direct hit behind the bomb bay, after bombs away. One wing came off, the aircraft twisted straight down into the clouds and broke in half.
Two parachutes were seen to leave the aircraft but all crew members died and were buried at the main cemetery of Dortmund.
