2nd Lt Robert Hall, jr graduated from Cleveland High School in 1938. He attended Appalachian State College in 1941.

FW 190 made one pass at a B-24 struggling in the high right of the second section. #3 Engine was hit and the ship disintegrated before it hit the ground. 3 Chutes were seen, one chute burned up, the other two were apparently ok. Believed to be Lt Perro´s ship, 0955 hours. Position: 5110N - 0505E. The Liberator crashed 2 miles North of Arendonck and 3 miles East of Turnhout. All men were found dead right on the plane of crash and buried at the Cemetery of Antwerpen-Deurne on 12 May 1944.
