1st Lt Lefevre was born in Belgium and emigrated to the U.S.A. from Antwerp in 1926. He and his family travelled on a ship called The Minnedosa to Quebec, Canada, from where they entered the U.S.A.The squadron was on a mission against a factory that repaired Fw190s near Tours. According to the archives, Lt. Lefevre was hit by flak in one engine over the target.
