Pfc Vincent J. Genco was employed by the Clem L. Martin Company before he enlisted at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland on 12 June 1944.He was killed by a trauma to the head.
His brother, Pfc Rosario Genco, was killed 7 days later on 11 March 1945 at Iwo Jima.
