T/5 James M. Bell was a chauffeur before he enlisted at Fort Niagara, Youngstown, New York on 13 March 1942.He was killed by schrapnel in the head.
T/5 Bell was first buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 11 October 1944. He was disinterred on 3 November 1947 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on the same day. He was given his final resting place on 20 August 1948.
