S/Sgt Chester Wojcik attended Lincoln High School and was a professional mechanic and repairman before he enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 17 August 1942.S/Sgt John Gural:
"Ship #42-64339 salved its bombs and then left the formation. I saw two parachutes leave the ship and then the ship came back into control and started in the direction towards home. The altitude was approximately 17000 feet and the time was 0952."
S/Sgt Lloyd T. Smith:
"S/Sgt Wojcik jumped and the parachute did not open."
