Pfc. Wilbur S. Buser graduated from Steelton High School in 1938 and was employed at the Steelton plant of Bethlehem Steel Company.He enlisted on 22 March 1944 and trained at Fort McClellan, Alabama and Fort Meade, Maryland. He was sent overseas in September 1944.
Pfc Buser was killed by shot wounds in the chest and legs.
He was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 1 February 1945. After being disinterred and after the cemetery was given a permanent status, he was given his final resting place on 31 July 1948.
