T/Sgt Ivan H. Robinson worked on a farm before he enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 5 January 1944.

He had been to the machine gun section command post observing the location and emplacement of the guns. At 9 a.m., he left to check on the mortars. As he was moving between the two sections, he was hit and killed instantly by a burst of machine gun fire.
