Cpl Floyd O. Goodman attended Washington Junior High School and Muir Tech High School and was employed at the Douglas Aircraft plant in Long Beach.He volunteered for the Army of the United States in Los Angeles on 22 November 1942. He was sent overseas in December 1943, a few days after his daughter was born and he never saw.
