Pvt Stanislaw Motyleski graduated from Ferris High School where he was a member of the school orchestra.He had previously tried to join the Polish Brigade in Canada in April 1942 when he was only 16 years old.
He joined the US. Army Reserve at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 9 March 1944 and was sent overseas in October 1944.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
