Pfc Carl J. Meese enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 23 March 1943.According the morning report of the 409th inf. Reg. Pfc Carl J. Meese was slightly wounded on 2 December. evacuated to the 11th Field Hospital.
His initial burial took place on Hochfelden Cemetery, Hochfelden, France.
