Sgt Francis X. Dorgan enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 10 December 1942. He trained at Camp Howze, Texas and was sent overseas in October 1944.

He is remembered at the Saint Kilians Cemetery, Bear Valley, Richland County, Wisconsin.

His brother William was a prisoner of war in Germany and his brother Thomas was a radioman with the Navy at the time of his death.
