More information

S/Sgt Marvin H. Frish attended 1 year of college before he enlisted in Jamaica, New York on 16 April 1941.

2nd Lt Mercer R. Markman:
"On a mission to Munich, on 9 June 1944, Lt Ferguson who was flying number 42-78177, was flying in the first attack unit of the 459th bombardment group. He couldn't keep up with the flight he was flying in. So he dropped back to the second attack unit and tried to stay with them. It seemed like he couldn't stay with the formation at all so he turned back over the alps. About ten minutes before Lt Ferguson turned back our formation was attacked by enemy fighters. After the fighters left us they seemed to be heading in the direction where Lt Ferguson turned back."

Lt John W. Guinn:
"He was killed by cannon fire of ME-109 and went down with the plane."
