Cpl Edward J. Fournier attended high school for 2 years and was employed at the New Departure Division of General Motor as a machine operator.He enlisted in Hartford, Connecticut on 23 November 1942.
Cpl Edward Fournier was awarded the Silver Star Medal for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
