More information

Sgt Siudeikis was on his twenty-ninth mission as a radioman in a B-17 bomber when he was killed. Before he joined the Air Corps in 1943 he operated a service station on East Fayette street.

The aircraft was hit near the target and lost one engine. A second engine was lost near the RP and the aircraft had to leave the formation. The aircraft was last seen 30 miles from the RP. The pilot had issued a call for fighter escort, but it is not known if any arrived to assist. It has been determined that Albert Siudeikis was murdered by his captors.
