Pfc Lloyd T. Lee attended high school for four years before he enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 6 June 1941. He was sent overseas in May 1943.He participated in the campaigns in North Africa, Sicily and Italy, before his unit was sent to France.
He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time for wounds received in Nort Africa on 22 September 1943. After a short stay in a hospital, re rejoined his unit on 16 October of the same year.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Saint-Juan, France.
