Capt Jack B. Wallace graduated from Sandusky High School in January 1932 and attended Ohio Wesleyan College for two years. He was employed in the Advertising Department at WHKC radio station in Columbus, Ohio.

He enlisted 10 August 1942. He was sent to Officer's Training School at Fort Benning, Georgia and was commissioned a lieutenant in March 1943. He received a promotion to captain in the summer 1944.

He died of wounds, sustained on 13 January 1945 in a hospital in France.
