Cpl Bernard J. Trail enlisted at Fort Thomas, Kentucky on 17 March 1942.He was taken prisoner on 1 August 1944 and died of injuries in a German field hospital. The exact location is not known.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Solers, France.
