T/4 Eugene F. Sandona was employed by the Ingersail Steel and Disc Co. before he enlisted on 27 June 1942.His tank, on a reconnaissance mission, was disabled by a mine. The company commander, 1st Lt Ralph Hanson and T/4 Sandona were killed.
