Pfc Paul E. Stookey was a carpenter at the Webber French plant. He enlisted at Fort Hayes Columbus, Ohio, on 4 February 1942 and trained at Ft Benning, Georgia.
He served in Italy before his unit was moved to England and transferred to France. He was wounded in action on 12 September 1944.

He had been overseas for nine months.
