More information

Arthur M. Lunsford was a weaver.

He enlisted on 1 May 1943 at Camp Croft, South Carolina.

According to witness statements of crew members of other airplane in the group, on the way to the target this airplane was flying in his position for about one hour. Suddenly it was noticed his left engine was smoking and it was falling back. The group entered a build-up cumulus and after it broke out of it the plane was nowhere in sight.

The entire crew of six men was killed.
