Pvt James P. Greene Jr. graduated from Central High School in Chattanooga and was employed by the American Lava Company.He enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 18 September 1943.
His tank was hit by enemy fire. He was killed, together with his crew members 1st Lt Frank X. Mc Williams, T/5 Orville D. Jones and T/4 Blair W. Williams who are also buried at Margraten.
